New York, New York - December 12, 2003 -- All things just keep
getting better… and we’re not just talking about the straight
guys. This Tuesday December 16, Bravo presents a holiday gift for
Queer Eye fans. Immediately following the first-ever “Very Queer
Eye Holiday” special at 10:00PM ET/PT, Bravo will broadcast the
half hour special “What's that Sound: The Making of the Queer Eye
Music Video,” culminating with the world premiere of the music
video for the show’s infectious theme song “All Things (Just
Keep Getting Better)” by Widelife with Simone.

The music video for the theme song precedes the release of the
“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” soundtrack from Capitol Records
in stores on February 10th. Shot entirely on location in New York
City - including the Brooklyn Bridge which was closed down for
several hours for the production - the video features the Fab 5
(Carson Kressley, Ted Allen, Jai Rodriguez, Kyan Douglas and Thom
Filicia), the recording group Widelife, vocalist Simone and
numerous dancers and extras. It was directed by music video auteur
Wayne Isham, who has directed music videos for Metallica, Sheryl
Crow, Ricky Martin and The Rolling Stones.

The “Queer Eye” soundtrack will also feature an exclusive Chemical
Brothers remix of Kylie Minogue’s new single “Slow;” a new and
exclusive Duran Duran track "Sunrise,” the American debut of
Jamelia’s smash U.K. hit “Superstar;” an exclusive mashup that
pits Fischerspooner vs. Billy Squier; plus exclusive new songs
from Elton John and Basement Jaxx and other hits including
In-Grid’s “You Promise Me (Tu Es Foutu)” and Liz Phair’s
“Extraordinary.”

Premiering at 10:00PM ET/PT, "A Very Queer Eye Holiday" features
surprise visits from the Fab 5 to four memorable straight guys
from show’s first season -- Brian “Butch” Schepel, Adam Zalta,
John Bargemen and George Katsigiannis - to see if they have
maintained their Queer Eye regiment. The straight guys and their
families then join the cast in their loft for a holiday reunion
party complete with festive “hip tips.”

“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” is produced by Scout Productions.
The executive producers are David Collins and Michael Williams for
Scout, and Frances Berwick, Amy Introcaso-Davis and Christian
Barcellos for Bravo. The co-executive producer is David Metzler.
The series was created by David Collins, a gay man, and developed
by David Metzler, a straight man - a union of sensibilities that
gives the show its depth, humor and edge.

Спешу просветить. На американском МТВ есть шоу Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Там пятерка геев учит натуралов моде и хорошим манерам. Шоу очень популярно. Эта пластинка - саундтрек к нему. Туда входят "эксклюзивные" ремиксы новых песен.

Список потом приложу. А выходит оно 10 февраля.

Pitt becomes Duran Duran to fulfill Aniston's fantasy!

Washington, Jan. 01 (ANI): Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt treated his wife Jennifer Aniston to her ultimate fantasy at a recent party by dressing as 'Duran Duran' heartthrob Simon Le Bon.

The 'Fight Club' actor threw the fancy dress bash last week to mark his 40th birthday and sang a karaoke version of the eighties band's hit 'Wild Boys'.

'Friends' star Aniston who was dressed up as Helen of Troy in tribute to Brad's latest film 'Troy' was overwhelmed with happiness at her famous husband's thoughtful gesture.

An insider said, "When Jen saw Brad dressed as Simon Le Bon in full eighties gear, her eyes were on stalks. She didn't stop smiling all night. When he sang Duran Duran to Jen on the karaoke machine it was the icing on the cake for her.

"Simon Le Bon was her first crush and Brad made her dreams come true. Jen couldn't believe he'd gone to so much effort for her when it was his party." (ANI)

DURAN DURAN PERFORMS AT THE NFL TAILGATE PARTY AT THE SUPERBOWL XXXVIII ON
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1st
New York, NY-- Duran Duran, who wrapped up 2003 with a highly successful
Australian tour that included four stadium shows with Robbie Williams, and who
have sold more than 100,000 tickets for their UK April arena tour over the
holidays, have today announced a new US concert date: the NFL Tailgate Party at
the Superbowl XXXVIII in Houston, TX on Sunday, February 1st. This show, which
will take place at the Reliant Center, will follow the band's sold out
performance at San Antonio's Laurie Auditorium two days earlier - this Friday,
January 30th. One song from their Super Bowl pre-game performance will air live
on CBS's television broadcast of the event sometime between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm
Central Time.

Both dates in Texas this weekend will give audiences a preview of the band's
world tour, scheduled to begin in April, 2004 in the UK. A new studio album is
also expected later this year.

Duran Duran celebrated their 25th anniversary and the reunion of the five
founding band members in 2003 with a run of tremendously successful shows in the
US, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. They were also honored with Lifetime
Achievement Awards last year from both MTV and Q Magazine. Later next month they
will accept the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award in the UK at February's
Brits ceremony.

In other Duran Duran news, a Jason Nevin's remix of "Sunrise," the first new
Duran Duran song from the band since they got back together, is featured on the
soundtrack to the hit Bravo show, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," due February
10th on Capitol Records. The soundtrack is led by the show's theme song, "All
Things (Just Keep Getting Better)" by Widelife. Other tracks on the album
include: Basement Jaxx's "Good Luck", Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet," Liz
Phair's "Extraordinary," a previously unreleased Chemical Brothers remix of the
new Kylie Minogue single "Slow," Jamelia's U.K. hit "Superstar," and a track
mixing music from Fischerspooner and Billy Squier.

А вот, кстати, и тот самый Fischerspooner, про которого в МК было написано, что он будет участвовать в продюсировании нового ДД-альбома. Правда, здесь он ДД не продюсирует, а просто оказался с ними на одном сборнике soundtrack "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". :)

Концерты у них сегодня в Сан-Антонио, завтра на Супер-кубке. Какая жалость, чтоо его у нас не покажут - никогда бы не подумала, что скажу такое про футбол - вот что любовь делает... :lol:
