British group Duran Duran, who will perform in Bucharest in mid-October, have asked the organizers of the show to put at their disposal several kinds of drinks, including Romanian wines aged at least 15 years. According to Emag!c Entertainment, the organizers of the Romanian show, the band asked for natural juices, but also Romanian beer, old Romanian wine and French and Italian wines. Vegetarian food will also be on their menu.
Duran Duran will perform at the Palace Hall in Bucharest on October 19 in a concert that will also include some of their smash hits such as "Wild Boys," "The Reflex," "Ordinary World," "Sunrise" and "Come Undone."
Tickets for the concert can be purchased at Diverta stores (Vitan Mall, Plaza Mall, Unirea Shopping Center), the Music Shop network, the Palace Hall box office or online at www.myticket.ro. Tickets are split into five categories, their price depending on their position in relation to the stage: 60 RON, 100 RON, 150 RON, 200 RON and 300 RON.
Having originated during the new wave period together with bands such as Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Tears for Fears and New Order, Duran Duran has been making music for over 25 years, sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, released 18 singles reaching the Billboard Hot 100 chart and seen 30 singles make the UK Top 40.
Duran Duran - Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor, Andy Taylor and Simon LeBon- launched their latest album "Astronaut" in 2004. The album landed directly on third place in the UK top.
