Действительно в Live From London во время исполнения A View To A Kill на экране демострируются женские ноги в черных чулках и красных туфельках, а потом без чулок и кажется Джон во время закадрового комментария говорит, что это Лиз Херли, что этот ролик им всем очень нравится , и что снимал его Ник.

В том-то и дело, я видел ее в кино неоднократно, но в Шофере-то ее сняли чуть ли не 20 лет назад! С тех пор она так изменилась, что кто ж ее там узнал бы, если бы дюраны не признались, что это ее Ник заснял для клипа...

Top Ten Cultural Moments from Nick Rhodes

"…and I wanted to share them with you here on Duranduran.com….chronologically"

1) ART EXHIBIT
Warhol’s World, London, January

A collection of Andy Warhol’s photographs, mostly from the very late 70s through the 1980s. It was quite something for me to look at them all because I knew most of the characters in the photos. It represents a time when, as a band, Duran Duran, were n New York City a lot and I spent a fair bit of time with Andy and actually remember a lot of the evenings. There were several photos of me in the exhibition and I remember the moment he took them.

2) BALLET
Edward Scissorhands, February

It’s not that often I go to the ballet…I have to say, this was a beautiful production, a great idea and I left smiling.

3) EVENT
Anglomania Ball, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, May

A pretty unusual event, Juicy Couture kindly invited us (Simon, John and Nick). There were some fabulous outfits, I have to say, and I am a sucker for fabulous outfits. We all really enjoyed that one, thanks Gela!

4) FESTIVAL
Cannes Film Festival, France, May

I have to say, I think out of all the film festival events that I’ve been to, Cannes is really the most interesting. There’s so much going on there. I was very happy with some of the winners this year.

5) MOVIE
”Volver” starring Penelope Cruz

My personal favorite movie of the year. A Pedro Almodovar movie, and I have to say, if you haven’t seen it, you really ought to make the effort, because it’s worth seeing at the Cinema. It looks so beautiful and it’s Penelope Cruz at her best. “Volver” is my personal favorite, closely followed by “The Queen” I think.

6) SPOT
Palermo, Sicily, July

I took a break, which I don’t do that often, and I decided to go to Palermo. I wanted to look at the rich cultural heritage they have, visit some palazzos, wander around and get to know the place a little.

I was able to do that and had a great time there. It’s got a lot of fantastic things to see. If you get a chance, I highly recommend it. Oh, and the food isn’t bad either.

7) ART EXHIBIT
Hans Bellmer Whitechapel Gallery, London, September

He’s a strange case, Hans Bellmer. I think perverse would probably be the word that best describes his work but nonetheless, utterly brilliant and fascinating.

8) ART MOMENT
Freeze Art Fair, London, October

This comes to London every October and has grown exponentially in the last few years. You’ve never seen this much art ever, it’s quite overwhelming, but I did spend several hours there and at the zoo Art Festival at the London Zoo…definitely rejuvenates your interest in modern art.

9) EVENT
Halloween Parade, New York, October

I’ve heard about Halloween in New York City. This year, we were fortunate enough that our schedule collided beautifully with New York City and the day of the pointed hat. And so I went out and photographed the Parade. I must have spent a couple of hours there, I would have spent all night there but some of the people I was with got slightly cold and impatient. To me, it really represents the spirit of New York City, which I’ve always loved.

10) ART EXHIBIT
Murder Me Exhibit, Serpentine Gallery, Hyde Park, London, ongoing

My final choice! It’s still on in London, and I believe, goes into next year. You may still get a chance to see it if you’re in London or visiting. This is Damien Hirst’s personal collection of art by other artists. He has immaculate taste.

ABOUT NICK'S GUITAR AND THE CHARITY AUCTION

Nick Rhodes, keyboardist with Duran Duran, has designed the world's first ever prototype video guitar, which will be auctioned for charity in London on Thursday, May 31, 2007.

The "Pixelator" is one of the main features of the Rock Couture Collection that will be auctioned off at Gibson Hall in London this week under the gavel of Lord Dalmeny, Deputy Chairman of Sotheby's UK. Proceeds from the sale of Nick's guitar will go to Keep A Child Alive (www.keepachildalive.org), a New York-based global charity that is dedicated to providing life-saving Anti-Retroviral treatment to children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world.

The auction will take place simultaneously on the Internet through eBay Live Auctions, where prospective buyers can bid for this innovative and priceless musical creation at www.liveauctioneers.com/browse/seller/borntorock-rockcouture. Telephone bids will also be accepted.

Rhodes' unique and innovative "Pixelator" creation is one of 50 instruments brought together by BigTime.TV, who over the course of the past two years have invited leading designers, photographers, musicians and visual artists to customize electric guitars that could be exhibited around the world and later auctioned off to raise money for different charities. Forming part of the RockCouture™ project, 30 of these magnificent instruments have been "on tour" with the Born To Rock™ exhibition, which has already broken attendance records at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin and most recently Harrods in London.

In true Duran Duran style, Nick's Warholesque creation was painstakingly hand-crafted from a Fender Stratocaster guitar, whose internal architecture was completely carved out and replaced with sophisticated electronics and a unique TV pixel screen which covers the entire face of the guitar. Specially programmed abstract film footage plays across the translucent surface making the guitar a constantly changing experimental video art piece.

In addition to Nick Rhodes' remarkable Strat, the auction will feature other fantastic instruments designed by such luminaries as U2 front man Bono, Bryan Adams, Ronnie Wood, Blur's Graham Coxon, Jennifer Lopez, photographers Anton Corbijn, Rankin and David LaChapelle, fashion designers Hedi Slimane, Patrick Cox and Diane von Furstenberg, interior designer Philippe Starck, the artist Sir Peter Blake and architect Lord Richard Rogers.

Commenting on the "Pixelator," Rhodes said, "Being a keyboard player, I was very flattered when approached by Ian Spero of BigTimeTV to come up with a design for one of Fender's classic Stratocasters. I wanted to create something that had not yet been seen with an electric guitar. My first thoughts turned to technology, specifically how to turn the face of the guitar into some sort of TV monitor. What we ended up with I believe is the world's first ever video guitar that was appropriately programmed with psychedelic swirling abstract light and images."

Duran Duran have always been regarded as pioneers of the pop video art form and have consistently been at the forefront of emerging technology and innovation across music and art.

Rhodes is currently in the studio along with bandmates Simon LeBon, Roger Taylor and John Taylor putting the finishing touches to their new studio album, which features collaborations with producers Timbaland and Danja and longtime Duran fan Justin Timberlake.

Duran Duran will make their first UK public performance this year at the Concert for Diana on July 1. The band will also perform at Al Gore's Live Earth concert in London the following weekend (July 7).

The band's new album will be released later this year, followed by a world tour.

У меня родственники купили йоркширского терьера и решили выпендриться с именем... Взяли кличку собаки из зарубежного фильма со Сталоне "Пикси"!
